Can you add sleeves, straps or change the neckline of a wedding dress?

You love your dress but dream of adding a personal touch? Several transformations are possible.

    Common changes

    • Adding straps, thin or lace, for comfort or support.
    • Adding sleeves — short, long or detachable — often in tulle or lace.
    • Raising or softening a neckline, or adding an illusion tulle panel.

    The challenge: matching the fabric

The trickiest part is often matching fabric: whites and ivories come in countless shades, and identical lace is rarely available. We look for a complementary fabric, or sometimes reuse fabric from the hem or train.

    What takes more work

Adding straps is usually simple. Full sleeves or a redesigned neckline affect the bodice structure and need more time and fittings. We discuss it together at the consultation to find the best option for your dress.
